Successful L-1A Intra Company Transfer Non-Immigrant Visa Application

We successfully obtained an approval for an L-1A intra company transfer visa for the new U.S. representative of a premium Argentinian winery.  The winery is setting up a new marketing operation in the U.S.  In order to bolster its marketing activities the Argentinian parent is sending a marketing director from its Buenos Aires office to head up the its operations in the U.S.

The General Counsel of this large Argentinian wine producer said: “I’ve had the privilege of working with Mohammad A. Syed since January 2015 and in that time I have known Mo to be a well-grounded and down to earth colleague. He is a great, deadline oriented, ambitious and eager lawyer who can be trusted.  He is an expert on immigration law including L1 intra company transfer visas.”

This visa type is good for up to 7 years and can be used for managers or executives of companies for temporary stay in the U.S.  The Syed Law Firm, PLLC specializes in business immigration matters such as this as well as E-1/E-2 treaty investor non-immigrant visas, as well as EB5 investor immigrant visas.

Successful EB-1 (extraordinary ability in the arts, sciences or athletics) Legal Permanent Residence Application

The Syed Law Firm obtained an EB-1 green card for a client who was in the U.S. on an H-1B visa.  Our client is a former Olympic swimmer from India with education and experience in biochemistry and athletic sciences.  She is currently working for the leading national organization promoting integrity of competition and clean sport.  The EB-1 classification is an expedited green card option for persons of extraordinary ability, such as winners of Nobel prizes, Olympic gold medalists or Oscar winning actors and other persons of outstanding reputation in arts, sciences, or athletics.

Knowing the stringent standards for EB-1 classification, our firm took a comprehensive approach to her application.  We advised her to include as much evidence as possible on both her swimming achievements as well as her contributions to the scientific field of anti-doping.  We were successful in showing that her scientific contributions, with the combination of her athletic pedigree, and education qualified her for the EB-1 classification.  This approach was accepted and approved by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
